Oracle Calendar Sync for Pocket PC (Windows only)

You can synchronize your Windows Mobile or Pocket PC-based handheld device with dCal so events, contacts, daily notes, and tasks from dCal appear on your handheld device. If you make changes on your handheld, dCal will be updated the next time you synchronize.

Before you begin

The Oracle Calendar Sync for Pocket PC requires Microsoft ActiveSync 3.0 or higher and the Microsoft .NET 1.1 Framework. You can download the latest version of Microsoft ActiveSync from the Microsoft Windows Mobile site. The Microsoft .NET 1.1 Framework is available from Windows Update or the Microsoft Download Center. (Please see our notes on dCal software and Windows Vista.)

Note: If at all possible, one of the sources (either your device or your dCal account) should be blank for the initial synchronization. If there is data on both your device and your dCal account, your initial synchronization could result in data duplication.

Note: Oracle Calendar Sync for Pocket PC does not currently support Windows Mobile 5.x devices. Owners of Windows Mobile 5.x devices can use a SyncML/OMA-DS client through either a wireless network connection or through the network connection granted by a wired ActiveSync sync relationship.

These instructions assume you have an established Microsoft ActiveSync partnership between your device and your computer. If you don't, visit the Microsoft Windows Mobile site to download and install ActiveSync, then set up a partnership between your device and your computer.
